Caterham F1 - CT01

So is this car ugly or what? This isnt just me thinking this is it?

Ferrari reported a while back that their car is not going to be pretty, do you reckon it will take on the same kind of "aero" look?

Do you think the other teams will release equally ugly cars?

It really is terrible. Everything other than that nose is fine but the front is just so so unattractive.

Few other teams are hinting that their cars are not pretty too so it looks we've just got to get used to it. Remember the aero changes from 2008 to 2009? THAT was radical. In comparison, this is nothing. But it's still horrible.

As much as it pains me, the most ugly of the modern cars was surely the original Williams FW26...

If the windtunnels say that bodyworks should look like this, this is how the cars are going to look like. And, yes, that Lotus Caterham is one ugly creation.

But the ugliest ever? I'll have to browse a few books, but I'm sure there's been some over the years.

I still have a feeling that I've seen a car as ugly as this some time long ago. But I can't remember which...

Anyway, as more constructors present their 2012 mounts, it appears the Lotus Caterham has some serious rivals for the title of the ugliest F1 ever on this year's grid. Only the McLaren have refrained from that peculiar bulge above the front suspension, which is the main reason why I find those 2012 very unpretty.
